How does TPS work?

After you have registered your phone number to TPS, your name, address and phone number will be added on the do-not-call list. It updates four times a year which is on January, April, July and October. It will remain on the file for five years. Direct Marketing Association or DMA members are can use it!

It does not mean that you will stop receiving calls from telemarketers or organizations, but it will decrease rapidly in about three months after your name has been included into the quarterly file.
